Our Mission is to Provide Calgary With Sustainable Housing

Led by Brett Barlow, founder of Monument Developments Inc., On-Grid brings 23 years of construction experience into every project. Brett’s background as a commercial general contractor (operating since 2009) informs a disciplined, detail-driven approach that exceeds typical residential construction standards.

Every On-Grid home is designed to outperform minimum code requirements — prioritizing durability, comfort, energy efficiency, and long-term operating cost reduction in Calgary’s demanding climate.

The Journey Begins

Began the Architectural Technologies Program at SAIT specializing in Building Developments Technologies (BDT).

Building the Foundation

Started working for Homes by AVI as a Site Supervisor.

Moving On Up

Received Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter Certificate, and relocated to the Cayman Islands until 2008.
