Because airtight buildings require controlled ventilation, fresh air is supplied mechanically through an Energy Recovery Ventilator equipped with MERV 13 filtration.
Incoming air is pre-warmed (or pre-cooled) by the outgoing exhaust through a heat-exchanging core — so ventilation doesn’t dump the heating dollar out the wall. During wildfire smoke events, the filter keeps the home livable.
