The walls were prefabricated near Leduc, Alberta using advanced framing techniques designed to reduce thermal bridging. Wall cavities are filled with chopped straw, creating a 12-inch assembly with effective insulation over R-40.

The 12-inch assembly delivers high insulation performance, reduced thermal bridging, and an exceptionally quiet interior. Heating demand drops year-round.
Chopped straw is an agricultural by-product. Using it displaces high-carbon fiberglass or foam, and stores the carbon the plant captured while it grew.
